Job Description

The Vice President Data will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for shaping the organization's data strategy, driving actionable insights, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making. You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and proven leadership capabilities. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership: Defining and executing the enterprise-wide data analytics strategy aligned with business goals and innovation priorities. Team Development: Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performance analytics team comprising data scientists, analysts, and BI developers. Data-Driven Transformation: Driving the organization's transition to a data-first culture by integrating analytics into key decision-making processes. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating closely with senior leaders, product owners, and operations teams to identify analytical needs and deliver high-impact solutions. Advanced Analytics and Innovation: Overseeing the design and deployment of machine learning models, predictive analytics, and data visualization frameworks to generate business insights. Governance and Data Quality: Partnering with Data Engineering and IT to ensure the availability, accuracy, and integrity of enterprise data assets. Analytics Enablement: Championing self-service analytics and democratization of data through tools, training, and platforms. Industry Intelligence: Staying updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data science, artificial intelligence, and data governance. As the ideal candidate, you should possess: - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. - Minimum 15-20 years of experience in data analytics or data science, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role driving enterprise-level analytics initiatives. - Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and familiarity with big data platforms. - Expertise in machine learning, AI, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics. - Proven success in leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and influencing C-suite executives. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate complex data insights into clear business value. - Experience with modern BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms. Soft Skills desired for this role: - Commitment to learn and deliver. - Good communication skills (Written and Oral). - Willingness to learn, train, and mentor subordinates. - English Language proficiency is required for effective professional communication. - Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset to bring fresh ideas to the table. - Demonstrates confidence and self-assurance in skills and expertise, contributing to team success in a positive and assured manner. - Accountability and responsibility for deliverables and outcomes. - Ownership of tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring high-quality results. - Strong collaboration skills by working effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights, and contributing to shared goals and solutions. - Continuously exploring emerging trends, technologies, and industry best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.,
