Viaplus is seeking a Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and acquisition of goods and services essential for the organization. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring on-time product delivery, and maintaining cost efficiency. The Procurement Executive will collaborate closely with other departments to meet operational needs, all while adhering to budgetary guidelines and company policies. Role: Procurement Specialist Experience: 5 to 7 years Job Description: Defining and communicating rules for supplier bids and managing high-impact purchases. Evaluating the qualification of suppliers and negotiating prices. Managing daily activities associated with requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders, invoice/contract approval, grief resolution, job instruction, vendor contacts, supplier quality/delivery, record keeping and all other purchasing related activities. Assessing purchasing decisions through the analysis of historical and market information; recommending improvements. Managing the quality of purchased goods and services based on specified requirements. Solving major supplier related problems. Monitor completion/delivery for purchase orders. Communicate with vendors to insure timely completion of purchase order commitments Your primary goal is to optimize procurement activities and contribute to the overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the organization Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure favourable terms, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements, specifications, and budgets Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs) to solicit competitive bids Generate purchase orders, review purchase requisitions, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures Coordinate with receiving and accounts payable departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchased items Review and negotiate contract amendments, extensions, and renewals as necessary Ensure compliance with contract terms, legal requirements, and ethical standards Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in procurement and supply chain management Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and contribute to overall organizational efficiency Skillset: Demonstrated professional verbal/written communication and negotiation skills in English Strong quantitative and analytical skills, and database proficiency and Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills and an eye towards detailing Experience in MIS tools and tasks - Good Excel / Power Point / Word skills Strong experience in Sourcing & Procurement Domain Customer and client service orientation and ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders Ability to understand contracts and contract language Good Multitasking, prioritization, time management skills Ability to work independently in complex, challenging, stressful environment Knowledge of category markets, impacts of regulatory and legislative changes, changes in supply base (mergers & acquisitions and new entrants), and new technology w/impact to Clients. Problem solving ability, productivity while working efficiently. Exposure to analytics and opportunity assessment Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, B. Com or M.
