A Breeding Farm Supervisor in a poultry farm is responsible for managing breeder flocks to ensure high fertility, hatchability, and healthy egg production. The role involves supervising daily farm operations, staff, biosecurity, and breeding programs while maintaining animal welfare and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of breeder poultry houses
• Manage breeder flock performance (male–female ratio, mating behavior, fertility)
• Monitor egg production, fertility, and hatchability results
• Ensure proper feeding, watering, and lighting programs
• Implement and monitor biosecurity and hygiene protocols
• Observe flock health and report issues to the veterinary doctor
• Maintain accurate records (production, mortality, fertility, medication)
• Supervise and train farm workers and attendants
• Ensure proper egg collection, handling, and storage
• Monitor housing conditions (temperature, ventilation, litter quality)
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare and farm regulations

Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of poultry breeding and reproductive management
• Experience in poultry farm or breeder operations
• Leadership and staff supervision skills
• Record-keeping and reporting abilities
• Ability to identify health, fertility, and management issues
• Basic computer and data entry skills
