Job Title: Sr. QA Engineer Location: Hyderabad Work Setting: Work from office Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both manual and automation testing and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of products, custom applications, and service-based solutions. The role requires flexibility to work in the UK shift, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases. Key Responsibilities: Test Strategy & Planning Understand business and technical requirements to design effective test strategies. Create, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and system testing. Manual Testing Conduct end-to-end manual testing for web and mobile applications. Validate UI/UX compliance, backend logic, and cross-browser compatibility. Identify, log, and track defects, and work with development teams to ensure resolution. Automation Testing Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools. Automate repetitive test cases for regression and smoke testing. Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Product & Application Testing Perform testing for in-house product platforms and custom-built client applications. Validate integrations with third-party services, APIs, and databases. Service-Based Project QA Work closely with project teams to understand testing requirements for service engagements. Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations through effective QA practices. Reporting & Collaboration Generate test summary reports and defect metrics. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure quality across the SDLC. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years of QA experience in both manual and automation testing. Strong expertise in Selenium with Java or Python. Solid understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, and defect lifecycle. Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) is a plus. Familiarity with version control tools like Bit Bucket, Git and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in UK shift (2 PM to 11 PM IST) and occasional rotation shifts. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
