Role & responsibilities To Manage & Support Company's (VERITAS) Backup Environment/Setup Backup Admin is primarily required to: 1) Monitor daily backup status, take required actions on failed/queued backups, as necessary & create/delete backup policies as requested. 2) Troubleshooting of backup failures. 3) Handle Tape Media Management. 4) Prepare Backup Reports / Review Backup Policies / Collection and Maintenance of Data required for Audit (i.e. Audit Data Logs) 5) Coordinate with Server Team / Application team as well as Backup vendor (SME) in case of issues unable to resolve locally. 6) Have knowledge of Backup Support required during Application DC-DR drills / BCP drill. Experience in VM Technology (Snapshot Backup, VM Backup Troubleshooting, Configuration) 5. Tape Drive Configuration. 6. Disk Backup Configuration. 7. VERITAS NetBackup Client installation on Windows, Linux and AIX Operating Systems 8. Catalog Backup configuration. 9. Knowledge of OS viz. MS Windows, Linux, IBM AIX w.r.t. Backup Domain.
