You will be employed on a contract basis in Delhi NCR. As a GitHub Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the efficient functioning of our organization's GitHub environment. This role entails managing user access, teams, and repository permissions, implementing security best practices, and promoting seamless collaboration among development teams. Your expertise in GitHub's features and administration capabilities will be crucial in maintaining a secure and productive environment for all users. Your duties will include managing organization members, assigning users to specific teams, and understanding team responsibilities and visibility. You will be responsible for managing different repository permission levels, such as read, triage, write, maintainer, and admin, and appropriately assigning roles to team members and contributors. Understanding the organization hierarchy, administration functions, and permission levels at various levels will be essential. You will need to integrate GitHub with identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID to enhance authentication and streamline organization management. Furthermore, configuring repository protection rules, enabling Single Sign-On (SSO), and providing troubleshooting and support to ensure a smooth experience for GitHub users will be part of your responsibilities. Your required skills and experience include familiarity with GitHub's user authentication methods, managing teams within GitHub organizations, understanding repository permission levels, integrating GitHub with external identity providers, and configuring repository protection rules. You should have a solid grasp of different permission levels within GitHub and be adept at enabling and managing Single Sign-On. This is a full-time position that requires working the evening and night shifts, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience with GitHub organizations and GitHub's user authentication methods.
