Role Description This is an ongoing project-based remote role for a Freelance WordPress Developer (Node.js Site Rebuild) . The developer will be responsible for rebuilding Node.js websites into a fully editable WordPress sites . The objective is to enhance the current design while enabling seamless content and blog management for clients. The successful candidate will handle both front-end and back-end development , ensure the websites are responsive, fast, and SEO-optimised , and collaborate effectively to deliver a professional and high-performing solution. Key Responsibilities: • Recreate existing Node.js sites in WordPress • Set up editable sections and blog functionality for easy content management • Ensure mobile responsiveness and optimise for speed and SEO • Migrate existing content accurately while maintaining design consistency • Communicate progress clearly and meet project deadlines Qualification • Proven experience in custom WordPress theme development (not only using page builders like Elementor) • Strong skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Familiarity with WordPress CMS setup , content migration, and optimization • Experience with REST APIs or headless WordPress setups is a plus • Strong understanding of responsive web design and UX principles • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field is preferred 📩 Interested?
