One of the leading importers, wholesalers and retail distributors of fresh produce in the UAE, having branches in Qatar and Bahrain is seeking for a FINANCE MANAGER for their two units in Kochi, Kerala (carton manufacturing unit and procurement/sourcing, packing, loading and dispatch unit) - Finance degree in finance and accounting - Analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and execution skills - Proficiency in modern accounting technologies - Professional certifications such as ACCA will be an added advantage - Preferably and MBA in finance - Excellent negotiating skills, man-management skills and efficient communication skills is mandatory - Must have worked in a manufacturing/production environment and will be required to have a minimum of 7 years hands-on experience in this field - Maturity to own up responsibility and accountability The position will report to owners and General manager based in Dubai and will be responsible in handling all vendor/supplier accounts, negotiation in terms & conditions, etc. Maintain proper cash flow to meet payments to vendors, service providers and utilities. Involvement in taxes, claiming of export incentives and other government related matters. Train, motivate and manage the entire staff of both units to ensure smooth functioning of the units. Control overheads and other expenses, production wastages etc as well as ensure export containers are loaded on time, despatched and export quality maintained to eliminate all possibilities of rejections and damages thereby to ensure healthy GP and NP. Manage day-to-day activities and establish a system of operation for improved efficiency. Liaise with parent company in UAE for periodical payments, etc. Management of individual vendor/supplier accounts to ensure receivables and payments are as per agreed terms and conditions and prepare for funds to meet huge volumes in festival seasons etc . Provide MIS reports to management regarding all areas of business and highlight areas of concern, etc. Ensure stock movement and store records are properly managed and raw materials are ordered/stocked in line for un-hindered production of cartons. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best RM prices, services, etc are obtained. Finalization of accounts, P&L, BS, and other periodical financial and taxational reports and budgeting/forecasting for next years. Actively involve in financials, planning and budgeting for the planned state-of-the-art carton manufacturing factory in Malappuram with inputs on costing, tendering and finalization of tenders, awarding, stage planning, etc. Other jobs related to the business but not elaborated above.
