Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer at VE-VA Designs in Bengaluru. The Interior Designer will be responsible for tasks such as concept design, space planning, furniture design, and 3D visualization. The role also involves coordinating with clients and overseeing construction and site supervision. Job Description: As our new Manager Procurement – Residential Interiors , you will be responsible for end-to-end material sourcing as working directly with the project team on the overall planning and implementation of procurement strategies with respect to the ongoing projects for interior projects. You will manage vendors, ensure timely deliveries, maintain documentation, and work closely with the factory, site, and finance teams to support seamless execution and cost control. Key Responsibilities: Study and review approved design/shop drawings, cutting lists, and specifications. Break down furniture items into all components and raw materials. Prepare comprehensive BOMs for all jobs, including: Material type (plywood, MDF, hardware, laminate, veneer, glass, stone, metal, etc.) Quantity and sizes of each material Hardware & accessories (hinges, channels, handles, screws, fittings, etc.) Finish materials (PU paint, polish, laminate, etc.) Edge banding details Consumables (adhesives, fasteners, etc.) Coordinate closely with design, procurement, and production teams. Update BOMs as per client changes or site variations. Track material consumption vs BOM for controlling wastage. Assist in cost estimation based on BOM for quotation & budgeting. Support procurement with material order sheets based on BOM. Maintain BOM documentation in ERP / Excel for each project. Maintain real-time updates in procurement trackers and ensure reporting discipline & Coordinate with stores, site supervisors, project managers, and the accounts team for smooth flow of materials Identify, onboard, and build rapport with local and regional vendors based on pricing, quality, and reliability Maintain proper Store Stocks,vendor records, onboarding forms, GST and payment details Ensure timely documentation including purchase orders, invoices, and material warranties Conduct quality checks of procured materials before dispatch to sites, Continuously work to expand the vendor base and ensure competitive rates without compromising on quality Key Skills & Competencies: Excellent understanding of furniture manufacturing and interior fit-outs. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong knowledge of materials used in carpentry, joinery, and interiors. Familiar with hardware fittings and accessories. Good knowledge of measurement units, conversion, and estimation. Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, ERP software. Detail-oriented, highly accurate. Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications: Diploma / Degree in Civil Engg, or Production Engineering. 2-5 years experience in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing or related industries.
