We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day laboratory functioning and ensure seamless operations across all departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising lab processes, managing staff, maintaining quality systems, and ensuring full compliance with NABL standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Laboratory Operations Management Oversee daily laboratory activities to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate sample processing. Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Monitor adherence to SOPs, quality control protocols, and safety practices. Coordinate with phlebotomy, reception, and technical teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting. 2. NABL Documentation & Quality Compliance Maintain, update, and implement NABL-related documents, SOPs, quality manuals, and records. Ensure audits (internal/external) are conducted smoothly with all required documentation readily available. Conduct regular quality checks, proficiency testing, and corrective/preventive actions as per NABL norms. Train staff on NABL quality systems, documentation protocols, and best practices. 3. Staff Supervision & Performance Management Supervise laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, and support staff to ensure optimal performance. Prepare and manage staff duty rosters, leave schedules, and shift allocations. Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance, training, and corrective measures when necessary. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. 4. Inventory & Resource Management Monitor stock levels of reagents, consumables, and supplies; maintain inventory efficiently. Coordinate with vendors for procurement, AMC, and equipment servicing. Ensure cost-effective utilization of laboratory resources without compromising quality. 5. Customer & Patient Service Address escalated patient queries related to lab reports, processing delays, or test-related issues. Work closely with the management team to maintain high patient satisfaction standards. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT / M.Sc. MLT) or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of NABL 15189 standards and documentation. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, manage teams, and handle operational challenges effectively.
