As a Junior European VAT Specialist at Edwards India Private Ltd, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior team members to develop a deep understanding of European VAT processes. Your role will involve data analysis and reporting, with a focus on supporting VAT compliance reporting for European VT entities. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, verification, and submission of VAT returns, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and legislation in various countries in Europe and Israel. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and filing simpler VAT reports such as VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastats for VTBA European + Israeli companies. Additionally, you will conduct basic data analysis to identify discrepancies, prepare VAT reconciliations, and post VAT-related journals. Communication and cooperation with other GBSs teams, resolving VAT-related issues and queries from tax authorities, and staying informed about changes in European + Israeli VAT regulations and guidelines will also be part of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a University degree in tax/finance/economics, basic VAT knowledge, or a strong interest in the tax area. Fluency in English, proficiency in MS Excel (SAP is an advantage), flexibility, a proactive approach, and self-motivation are essential qualities. Being a team player who can collaborate effectively with others will be crucial for success in this role.
