The role entails developing and executing comprehensive validation test plans for new silicon devices. This involves supporting the update of automated test suites and validation frameworks to ensure thorough testing coverage, as well as debugging complex hardware issues using lab equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers. Collaborating with design teams to validate hardware specifications, analyzing and documenting test results, bugs, and validation coverage, supporting customer debugging efforts, and providing technical solutions are key responsibilities. Additionally, developing validation methodologies and enhancing existing processes are integral to the role. To excel in this position, a strong understanding of post-silicon validation methodologies, basic knowledge of domains like Storage, Multimedia, TBT, Power management validation, boot sequence validation, firmware validation, and Windows environments is required. Possessing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Electrical/Electronics related field and relevant experience in validation test plans for new silicon devices are considered advantageous. Successful candidates should demonstrate dedication to product quality, a commitment to continuous learning of new technologies and test methods, self-driven innovation to improve test processes, resourcefulness in problem triaging and issue resolution coordination, as well as excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal relationship skills.
