About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Legal Analyst with a strong legal background to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a law degree from a reputable university; additionally, relevant environmental law certifications are preferred. They will be responsible for conducting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) due diligence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising on sustainability-related legal maners." This role requires a keen understanding of ESG frameworks, environmental policies, and corporate governance regulations. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct research and analysis on ESG-related regulations, policies, and industry best practices. · Assess and monitor ESG risks and opportunities for the organization and its stakeholders. · Ensure compliance with ESG-related legal and regulatory requirements, including environmental laws, corporate governance, and sustainability reporting standards. · Support the development and implementation of ESG policies, strategies, and initiatives. · Provide legal guidance on sustainability disclosures, due diligence processes, and ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD). · Collaborate with internal teams to integrate ESG factors into business decisions. · Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, and sustainability organizations, to align ESG strategies with industry standards. · Prepare ESG reports, risk assessments, and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications & Skills : · Education: Law degree with specialization in environmental law, corporate governance, or sustainability regulations. Alternatively, a degree in environmental studies or business with a certification in environmental law (e.g., IEMA, LEED, or equivalent). · Experience: 0-2 years of experience in ESG analysis, environmental law, corporate governance, or related field. · Knowledge of ESG Frameworks: Familiarity with ESG reporting standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, and PRI. · Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of global and regional ESG regulations, including EU Taxonomy, SEC climate disclosure rules, and other sustainability compliance frameworks. · Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents and translate them into actionable insights. · Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to draft reports, policies, and stakeholder communications. · Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with regulatory bodies and external organizations. Preferred Qualifications: · Certifications in ESG-related fields (e.g., CFA ESG Investing, GRI Certification, or similar). · Experience in corporate law, risk management, or sustainability consulting. · Understanding of carbon accounting, climate risk assessment, or sustainable finance principles.
