The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all maintenance activities in the plant to ensure machines, equipment, and facilities are in safe and efficient working condition. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, extending asset life, and driving preventive and predictive maintenance practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance Planning & Execution: · Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules. · Ensure minimum downtime of equipment and maximum utilization of assets. · Oversee installation, commissioning, and modification of plant machinery. 2. Team Management: · Lead, guide, and train the maintenance team (mechanical, electrical, utilities, etc.). · Allocate tasks and monitor performance of technicians and supervisors. · Ensure safety training and compliance for all maintenance staff. 3. Safety & Compliance: · Ensure safe maintenance practices in line with statutory regulations. · Comply with the Factories Act, energy audits, and other legal requirements. 4. Continuous Improvement: · Introduce new technologies, automation, and digital tools for smart maintenance. · Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, and Kaizen initiatives. · Analyse breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions. 5. Coordination & Reporting: · Work closely with Production, Quality and all unit managers to ensure smooth operations. · Prepare and present maintenance reports (downtime, cost, efficiency, MTTR/MTBF).
