Role Overview: You will be a part of UTMT Society, an organization that upskills farmers in indigenous beekeeping to enhance agricultural productivity and improve rural livelihoods. As a Programme Associate, you will work in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, impacting the lives of 67000+ farmers. Your role will involve conducting assessments, organizing awareness programs, collaborating with senior staff, managing training sessions, ensuring equipment orders are correct, identifying potential beekeepers, supervising the Beekeeping Resource Center, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct preliminary assessments of villages and locations. - Plan and implement awareness programs in selected villages. - Collaborate with Senior Programme staff to identify potential beneficiaries. - Organize and conduct training programs, ensuring distribution of approved IEC materials. - Verify vendor orders for beekeeping boxes and other equipment. - Assist technical staff in planning and monitoring follow-up visits. - Identify potential beekeepers and suitable apiary sites, supporting their monitoring. - Ensure timely execution of the bee flora program, including planning and monitoring harvest data collection. - Supervise the Beekeeping Resource Center maintenance. - Identify and develop local capacities such as Master Trainers and technical assistants. - Implement honey and wax collection plan meeting quality standards. - Actively participate in monitoring and evaluation activities, collecting data and addressing challenges. - Monitor and review field staff logbooks and accounts. - Engage in team meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions and decisions. - Assist Senior Programme Staff with program and office management, networking, administrative tasks, and HR data collection. Qualification Required: - Masters in Social Work and above. - 0 to 3 years of experience in the development sector preferred. - Local resident or from a nearby location. - Basic understanding of the social sector required. - Proficiency in Marathi essential. Additional Details: The role involves up to 15 days of field travel per month to various programme areas. Your Reporting Authority will be the State Team Leader. The salary range is INR 25000 - 35000 per month based on past experience. Roles & Responsibilities 1 per block or minimum 300 - 500 beekeepers Planning, implementation, monitoring and delivering results for the programs in the block Preliminary assessment of villages along with technical team Awareness creation by FGDs and group sessions Farmer selection - developing list of farmers in consultation with TE Organising and conducting farmer training and seasonal training Planning, organising and conducting Technical Assistant (TA) / Master Trainer (MT) training Planning for monthly Farmer Meeting along with TAs/MTs and attending at least 4 meetings per month Inventory management/distribution Maintaining registers and records - training, bee flora, contribution, equipment distribution, stock Maintaining photo bank of all activities project wise Developing technical carder - selection and evaluation Target setting and planning for target achievements, monitoring targets on weekly basis and problem solving Monitoring & Evaluation work Bee flora management Accounts related work Develop monthly plan in coordination with Project Manager / Team Leaders Honey/wax/colony sale Support Farmer Producer Organisation's work 12 to 15 days of field work Farmer contribution - flora/kit/colony Apiary management/development in consultation with Sr. TE Sugar feeding/ Feeding - planning, distribution, follow up Reporting and documentation - written, audio & video Preference Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the development sector. Basic understanding of the social sector is required. Proficiency in Hindi is essential.
