As a Senior/Assistant Manager in the FSO- SALT BCMI team at EY, your role is crucial in developing, mentoring, and supervising Analysts and Advanced Analysts. Your responsibilities include: - Acting as a counsellor for Analysts and Advanced Analysts - Proactively recognizing issues and recommending solutions - Seeking opportunities to diversify client load and exposure to different teams - Fostering collaboration and constructive communication within the team - Demonstrating basic presentation and public speaking skills - Communicating effectively in face-to-face situations, by phone, and via email - Displaying general knowledge of engagement big picture and working towards obtaining appropriate certification - Communicating your progress and project status to supervisors worldwide - Taking ownership of your schedule and proactively seeking work to meet annual chargeability goals - Adhering to practice protocol and internal processes consistently In addition to the specific competencies required for your role, you will focus on developing the following firm-wide competencies: - Identifying opportunities for process improvement - Ensuring the use of methodologies, tools, and technology specific to tax - Encouraging critical questions and open sharing of ideas and concerns - Providing balanced and constructive feedback to team members - Maintaining a positive team environment and demonstrating commitment towards work challenges - Showing a sense of urgency in responding to client and team needs Qualifications required for this role include: - Graduate or Post Graduate in Finance - At least 6 months of experience for staff level, and 3-5 years of experience for senior/AM level in US state and local taxes, state income and franchise taxes, multistate tax - Preparation and review of state corporate tax returns pertaining to 1120 and 1120Fs - Exposure to tax research tools such as CCH, Checkpoint, BNA, and Lexis Nexis - Strong knowledge of tax technology tools such as Corp Tax, OneSource, Go Systems, Premium-Pro, and Wings Join EY to build a better working world, where diverse teams in over 150 countries provide trust through assurance and help clients grow, transform, and operate across various services.,
