Key Responsibilities: - Develop, mentor, and supervise Analysts and Advanced Analysts, acting as a counselor and recommending solutions proactively - Diversify client load and exposure to different teams - Foster collaboration and constructive communication within the team - Demonstrate presentation and public speaking skills in meetings - Communicate effectively in various situations (face-to-face, phone, email) - Display knowledge of engagement big picture and work towards appropriate certification - Communicate progress and project status to supervisors worldwide - Take ownership of schedule to meet annual chargeability goal - Adhere to practice protocol and internal processes consistently - Identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure use of tax-specific methodologies, tools, and technology - Encourage critical thinking, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a positive team environment - Maintain focus on key quality drivers for work assignments - Build positive relationships with internal professionals and client personnel Qualifications Required: - Graduate or Post Graduate in Finance - At least 6 months of experience for staff level, and 3-5 years of experience for senior/AM level in US state and local taxes, state income and franchise taxes, multistate tax - Experience in preparation and review of state corporate tax returns (1120 and 1120Fs) - Exposure to tax research tools such as CCH, Checkpoint, BNA, and Lexis Nexis - Strong knowledge of tax technology tools like Corp Tax, OneSource, Go Systems, Premium-Pro, and Wings Note: EY aims to build a better working world by creating long-term value for clients, people, and society while fostering trust in the capital markets.
