Job description : Responsible for day-to-day management of the Consul General's Residence (CGR). Ensure the residence, the grounds and staff areas, are secure, clean, and presentable and all equipment is in good working order. Manage the day-to-day operations of the CGR, ensuring the functionality, cleanliness and safety of the household and grounds. Work with the Facilities Services and Maintenance (FSM) and General Services Office (GSO) teams to ensure repairs and other maintenance items are addressed in a timely fashion. Make minor repairs as appropriate. Escort and oversee any visitors/repairpersons at the residence Ensure the CGR is thoroughly cleaned, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, washing dishes, garbage is taken out daily. Ensure all rooms are in order. Change bedlinens weekly and as required along with making beds and rotating mattresses monthly. Ensure clothing is washed and ironed. Return clean clothes to their proper locations. Should the CGR require additional support staff such as a Cleaner, the bearer will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of such staff Note the need for any service requests such as: Regional Security Office access requests for visitors/contractors; action tickets for household maintenance items and repairs. etc. Run errands and household shopping as required. On a weekly basis, provide an account of all expenses paid from the Household cash envelope or cash provided by the CG. Request where appropriate, expendable household supplies from the GSO. Notify the Employer when expendable items available only from the Commissary or the U.S. need to be re-ordered. Support representational and other special events hosted by the Employer. Work with the Chef/Event Manager to ensure the residence and set-up are ready for representational and personal events Event support may include greeting visitors, serving, cleaning-up, and other actions as required. other duties as assigned. Personal profile : Three-year minimum experience demonstrating progressive levels of responsibility. Good working level English (read/ write and speak), and Hindi/ Telugu to deal with visitors, domestic staff and others. Trustworthy and honest. Employment benefits, terms and conditions: Full time; 6 days / week, Monday through Saturday. 8 am to 4:30 pm (48 hours per week).
