L1 Tasks

Monitoring and performing health checks on Backup servers storage systems

Monitoring storage related s through PRTG as well as emails

Maintaining daily storage troubleshooting report and update with action taken

Raising ticket in ticketing systems for any backup and storage related issues

L2 Tasks

Responsible for the daily completion of all backups and restores

Troubleshooting backup and restore issues based on the errors codes

Hands on backup process flow with different phases

Installation of Backup client software on client servers Windows Linux and addition to the backup by creating new backup policy and schedules

Sending Daily Weekly and Monthly Backup details reports to IT Heads

Installation and configuration of database backups

Decommissioning of clients by taking full backup with infinite retention and adding new clients with customer approvals

Providing support as a Backup admin like Backup and restore activities

Storage arrays administration and troubleshooting

Coordinating with vendor for any hardware failure Pulling SP Collect logs from respective VNX device and providing to vendor for review

Periodically maintaining KEDB

L3 Tasks

Planning and migrating backups from legacy backup servers to Rubrik

Planning coordination installation and implementation and testing of releases upgrades or changes to backup solution

Design Reports on backup usage and performance

Patching on BackupRestore Tool Scripting Automation of Major Complex Tasks Recovery of BackupRestore Servers from failure

Looking into capacity planning and management

Responsible for reviewing the complete backup Infra

Storage devices configuration

LUNs provisioning

Zoning and troubleshooting on SAN switches

Disaster Recovery Support

Experience Knowledge on DELLEMC overall arrays as well as Pure Storage arrays

Hands on experience on SAN switch and Fiber technology

Planning and Implementing upgrade in complex SAN environment

Implementing procedures for configuration layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure components

Other Responsibilities DeliverablesFamiliar with ITIL process

Knowledge on preparing reports from backup tools backup devices and SNOW ticketing tools

Preparing RCA for critical priority incidents

Ready to work in 247 environment

Ready to work as oncall role over the weekend
