We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to develop 2D drawings and 3D models for robotic components, vending enclosures, and assembly systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in product design from concept to manufacturing, with a strong grasp of mechanical, mechatronics integrations. Key Responsibilities: • Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models for: Robot chassis, arms, wheels, and mounting brackets Smart vending machine modules (dispensers, compartments, doors) Internal enclosures for sensors, PCBs, wiring, and power units • Collaborate with robotics engineers and industrial designers for part fitment and ergonomics • Prepare BoM, tolerance stack-ups, and production-ready drawings • Design with DFM/DFA principles for rapid prototyping and mass production • Optimize designs for sheet metal, plastic, and aluminum fabrication • Work with external vendors and internal manufacturing teams to iterate designs • Maintain version control of drawings using PLM or cloud collaboration tools • Able to design models and mechanisms with simple and complex mechanical concepts • Should be able to work independently with the concepts provided and design models Required Skills & Experience: • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering • 2–5 years of experience in CAD design (preferably in robotics, kiosks, or consumer machines) • Expertise in Creo, or Siemens NX (multi-platform experience is a plus) • Familiarity with GD&T, IP-rated enclosure design, and cable routing planning • Ability to work from sketches, rough concepts, or verbal instructions • Knowledge of structural analysis or basic simulation tools (optional but preferred) • Good Understanding of Mechanical concepts including structural, dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer Nice to Have: • Experience designing motion modules (sliders, arms, servo mounts) • Exposure to prototyping tools like 3D printers, CNC routers, laser cutters • Prior work with automation components (stepper/servo mounts, guides, linkages) What You’ll Get: • Work closely with a dynamic team driving robotic innovation • Be part of end-to-end hardware development, from whiteboard to deployment • Access to in-house prototyping tools and partner fabrication shops • Creative freedom with a fast iteration environment Show more Show less
