We build scalable systems for Connect Banking, merchant payments, payout services, API integrations, and advanced financial workflows. We are looking for strong backend engineers who can help us scale our technology and deliver seamless customer experiences. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js and Python . The ideal candidate must be capable of designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems, APIs, and microservices for high-volume fintech operations. You will work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to build secure, scalable, and high-performance platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python Build and optimize RESTful & microservice-based APIs Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance fintech solutions Implement data structures, queues, and caching (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka) Work with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability Implement best practices for coding, security, testing, and documentation Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time Ensure compliance with fintech-specific security and data standards Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of backend development experience Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python Experience with Express.js / Fastify , Django / Flask (optional but preferred) Strong knowledge of REST APIs , microservices, and application architecture Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL Hands-on experience with Redis, message queues, background jobs Familiarity with API authentication (JWT, OAuth), encryption, and security standards Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker Experience working in fintech, payments, or banking integrations is an advantage Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Why Join UnPay?
