Job Description : - Project Engineer Roles and Responsibilities The Project Engineer – Electrical is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical engineering projects from concept to completion. This includes managing design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, and contractors. Design and Technical Oversight: Prepare and review electrical system designs including single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and load calculations. Select appropriate materials and components (cables, switchgear, transformers, etc.). Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE) and safety standards. Procurement and Vendor Management: Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems. Evaluate and recommend suppliers and contractors. Review vendor drawings and documentation for compliance. Installation and Commissioning: Supervise on-site electrical installation activities. Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems (LV/MV/HV). Troubleshoot and resolve issues during implementation. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project documentation including drawings, datasheets, test reports, and change orders. Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders. Ensure proper project closeout and handover. Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE standards and company policies. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. Participate in safety meetings and audits. Vendor Evaluation: Conduct assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability. Request for Proposal (RFP) Creation: Draft and distribute RFPs to potential vendors, outlining the specifications and requirements for products or services needed. Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards. Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms and conditions. Compliance Monitoring: Keep procurement activities compliant with internal policies and external regulations. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure the purchased materials meet all necessary quality metrics. Order Management: Oversee the entire ordering process, from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers for long-term partnership and potential cost savings. Technical Liaison: Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to clarify technical specifications or resolve issues. Contract Management: Administer supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet both short-term needs and long-term strategic goals. Online Tender And RFQ: Check the daily online tender and RFQ Received from customer and prepare the report and inform the reporting Authority. Co-ordination with Project Person : Co-ordinate with project manager/site engineer/Supervisor for insure the delivery of material at site and take the daily site progress report from site. Reporting to Director : Prepare the weekly progress report and submitting to director every weekend. Required Qualification : - DIPLOMA /BE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ONLY For Degree Candidate (2 to 3 Years of Experience) Freshers Can Also Apply For Diploma candidate (2 to 5 Years of Experience) Knowledge of Computer, MS Office and Autocad-Electrical Compulsory Salary no bar for right candidate.
