Role & responsibilities Interpret technical specifications based on ISO, EN, ASME, and DIN standards. Design and develop new valve products including control valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, and more. Manage and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously. Optimize existing valve designs for performance, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. Ensure product designs comply with technical specifications and production requirements. Produce General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools. Perform design reviews and contribute to technical discussions. Create 2D/3D models using SolidWorks (part, assembly, and sketch level). Analyse prototype test data and make necessary design improvements. Enhance existing products and innovate new engineering procedures. Adhere to industry safety and compliance regulations. Maintain and manage design records (GADs, MPRs, BOMs, etc.). Prepare and release material specification sheets promptly. Ensure all designs meet budget, cost, and time targets. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and material strength. Proficient in CAD tools, especially SolidWorks and DraftSight. Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering documentation. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Role & responsibilities Perform accurate sizing and selection of control valves using industry-standard and in-house software. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Control Valves, Bellow Sealed Globe Valves, Butterfly Valves, and Ball Valves. Handle all communication with customers and representatives regarding technical application, product specifications, and quotations. Provide technical assistance and clarification on product features and specifications. Maintain up-to-date records of quotations and ensure timely updates to all relevant stakeholders. Collaborate closely with customers to address application, design, manufacturing, and quality concerns for prompt issue resolution. Coordinate with regional sales managers to support quotation preparation and inquiry follow-ups. Comply with internal procedures for bid preparation, proposal tracking, and order handover documentation. Serve as a key technical liaison for both internal departments and external contacts. Review and interpret valve specifications and support design review activities. Evaluate customer process data sheets (P&ID, line sizing, service conditions) to determine suitable valve types, trims, and materials. Calculate Cv (flow coefficient), noise levels, pressure drop, and cavitation/flashing potential to ensure optimal valve performance. Recommend appropriate actuators (pneumatic/electric) and accessories (positioners, limit switches, solenoids) based on control needs and site conditions. Identify special requirements like severe service, low noise, anti-cavitation trims, and ensure compatibility with sizing outputs. Cross-check selected valve solutions with international standards (API, ASME, IEC, ISA) for compliance and performance assurance. Prepare detailed sizing reports with technical justifications and submit them along with quotations. Suggest alternate sizing/configuration options where customer specifications are vague or overly constrained. Evaluate the need for additional instruments or accessories based on control loop requirements. Support the Sales, Design, and Production teams with accurate valve sizing inputs to reduce rework and ensure deliverability. Participate in customer technical discussions and clarification meetings to defend and explain sizing rationale. Stay updated on new control valve technologies, software tools, and sizing methodologies. Troubleshoot performance issues by revalidating sizing parameters when required (post-installation support). Preferred candidate profile 2 to 5 years of experience in control valve applications, including reviewing detailed technical specifications and preparing precise quotations. Proficiency with valve sizing and selection software is essential. Utilize industry-recognized sizing software (e.g., UNIFLOW proprietary tools) to perform accurate valve sizing based on process parameters like flow rate, pressure, temperature, and fluid properties.
