The responsibilities of this position include developing and implementing infection control protocols and procedures. You will be responsible for educating staff and patients on infection prevention measures. Monitoring compliance with hygiene practices and promptly responding to outbreaks and potential threats are also key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will be required to collect and analyze data to identify infections and risks, as well as manage infection prevention programs. Providing care to sick staff or those exposed to infections, identifying work-related infection risks, and implementing preventive measures are also part of the job. You will need to ensure that infection control practices are in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
