UI / UX Designer

As a junior/mid UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive and data-dense web interfaces for diverse tech stacks. Your role will focus on wireframing, prototyping, and iterative usability improvements to enhance timeliness of insights, support time-constrained operations, and provide clarity for mission-critical workflows. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, project managers, and business teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own end-to-end design for prioritized web workflows, including discovery, task flows, wireframes, low/high-fidelity UI, interactive prototypes, and dev-ready specs. - Translate complex telemetry and analysis needs into clear dashboards, drilldowns, and alerting patterns optimized for rapid comprehension. - Conduct pragmatic research through stakeholder interviews, task analyses, lightweight usability tests, and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations. - Evolve information architecture for data-heavy products, focusing on navigation, labeling, filtering, sorting, and progressive disclosure for dense content. - Define and maintain components, styles, and tokens within a design system, collaborating with engineering for consistent implementation across varied frontend stacks. - Document decisions with annotations, user stories, acceptance criteria, and change logs to enable smooth delivery. - Support adjacent UI/UX needs for other departments while maintaining pattern consistency. **Qualifications Required:** - 1-3 years of professional UI/UX experience with web applications, ideally data-rich, operational, analytics, or B2B tools. - Strong wireframing and prototyping skills across low-fi to high-fi and interactive prototypes. - Foundations in UX research methods and the ability to convert insights into clear IA, flows, and UI. - Comfort in creating or contributing to design systems and working alongside developers across varied frontend stacks. - Working knowledge of accessibility, error prevention/recovery, and designing for time-critical user scenarios. - Clear communication of design rationale, tradeoffs, and prioritization to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Portfolio showcasing case studies demonstrating process, alternatives, and outcomes. - Experience with real-time dashboards, timeseries data, or alerting/monitoring interfaces. - Familiarity with data visualization patterns, mapping/geospatial, or dense table design. - Awareness of frontend concepts and design tokens. - Exposure to experimentation and UX metrics. - Proficiency in Figma, ProtoPie, Principle, Open Projects, GitLab, Slack, Notion/Confluence.
