UI Engineer

As a UI Engineer with 3-10 years of experience, you will be responsible for defining the structure, components, and presentation layer for web applications in alignment with the design and user experience. Your role involves optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency and scalability, working alongside Back-end Developers, UI/Visual Designers & User Experience Designers, and developing pages in line with mobile-first and Content Accessibility Guidelines. We are seeking a creative and skilled UI Engineer who can effectively combine design and programming. You will be translating UI/Visual designs into code to create visual elements of the application, bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. Your active role on both sides will involve defining how the application looks and functions, working collaboratively with the UI/UX designer and other team members. To excel in this role, you should possess excellent knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. Strong teamwork skills are essential as you will be collaborating with multiple individuals throughout the development process. Your development responsibilities will include component-based UI development with a focus on scalability and reusability, building reusable code and libraries, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and adhering to WCAG standards for accessibility. You will also be developing features to enhance user experience and optimize applications for speed and scalability. In terms of technical skills, you must be proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks, CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS), and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket). Familiarity with testing/debugging tools like BrowserStack and SonarQube is a plus. Additionally, you are expected to stay updated on UI engineering trends, design strategy, and technology through continued education and research. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for the best outcomes are crucial.
