Website: https://udayjewellery.com/ Position Overview: We are hiring a Business Intelligence & Automation Engineer to support our management and operations teams in transforming manual, spreadsheet-based processes into structured, automated, and data-driven workflows. This is a critical role for our modernization agenda, combining hands-on reporting, low-code automation, and early AI use cases to enable better decision-making and operational efficiency. Note: This role is distinct from our existing IT & MIS function, which focuses on ERP operations and routine reporting. The BI&A Engineer will focus on building the next layer of intelligence, automation, and digital tools across business functions, often working collaboratively with the MIS team. Key Responsibilities MIS Reporting & Dashboards Design and maintain daily/weekly/monthly dashboards for Sales, Inventory, Production Standardize reporting formats across teams to improve management decision-making Ensure accuracy and consistency of data extracted from ERP/Excel/manual logs Maintain and upgrade existing reporting dashboards as needed, including performance tuning and visualization improvements Process Automation & Workflow Digitization Identify manual, repetitive tasks across departments and automate them using suitable tools Set up workflows that pull data from Excel/ERP systems and auto-generate alerts, reports, or summaries Collaborate with process owners to scope and implement automation pilots that can scale Train staff and line managers on adopted tools and ensure adoption Data Integration & Light Engineering Build lightweight, maintainable data pipelines using Excel, SQL, and Python/R to support reporting and workflow logic Handle data merging, cleaning, and transformation for analysis and automation tasks Manage file storage, naming conventions, and basic version control AI & Predictive Use Cases Assist with proof-of-concept AI applications - sales forecasting, inventory optimization, quality classification Document learnings and propose roadmap for future AI adoption Work with external consultants if required and document learnings for scaling future AI adoption Internal Tech Partner Act as a bridge between senior leadership and operational teams Translate business needs into tools, reports, and automation flows Own documentation, governance, and change tracking of internal digital tools Collaborate with the existing IT & MIS team Candidate Profile Experience : 2- 4 years in MIS, operations analytics, automation, or related roles in FMCG/Pharma/Automobiles/Manufacturing/Luxury Goods/Retail Qualification : Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or similar; Masters preferred Languages : Proficiency in English required, Telugu and Hindi preferred. Skills : Advanced Excel and Power Query Intermediate SQL knowledge Python or R for data wrangling and visualizations Familiarity with no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Power Automate, n8n, Zapier) Strong business understanding, communication skills, and initiative Disposition : Proactive, reliable, self-directed, and execution-oriented Work Culture : Ability to operate independently in a traditional yet evolving environment Why Join Uday Jewellery?
