Purpose of the Role The QHSE Consultant is responsible for guiding organizations through the development, implementation, certification, and continual improvement of their Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards. The consultant provides expert advice, training, documentation support, and audit preparation to ensure compliance, reduce risk, promote employee well-being, uphold environmental responsibility, and achieve business excellence. Key Responsibilities Assess the organization’s current QHSE processes, policies, and practices to identify gaps against ISO and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement integrated management systems (IMS) covering Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001). Prepare, review, and update QHSE manuals, procedures, risk assessments, work instructions, and other documentation. Conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and training on QHSE standards and best practices at all organizational levels. Provide guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment, environmental impact assessment, process mapping, and continual improvement. Support the organization in preparing for internal audits, external audits, and certification audits. Conduct internal audits and management reviews, providing clear reports and recommendations. Liaise with certification bodies, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required. Monitor compliance, drive corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities. Provide ongoing advisory support to ensure sustainability and continual improvement of QHSE systems after certification. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Professional certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer) preferred. Proven experience in implementing, auditing, or consulting on QHSE systems across diverse industries. Strong knowledge of IMS principles, risk management, legal/regulatory compliance, and continual improvement methodologies. Experience in conducting QHSE training and internal audits.
