The Head of the 1. Rabodh Coal Block 2. Tokisud Coal Block project will lead all aspects of the greenfield coal mining operation, ensuring successful planning, execution, and management of the mine. This includes mine planning, operations, regulatory approvals, forest clearance, and liaising with government bodies such as the Ministry of Coal, CMPDI, and local administration. The role will also involve overseeing geological surveys, land acquisition, CSR initiatives, and maintaining positive community relations. The position reports directly to the CEO. Key Responsibilities: Mine Planning & Operations: Oversee the preparation of mine plans and operational strategies for the Rabodh Coal Block, ensuring alignment with the companys goals. Supervise the execution of mining operations, optimizing resource extraction and operational efficiency. Develop safety, productivity, and environmental performance standards for the mine. Ensure timely startup and ongoing operations of the coal mine. Regulatory Approvals & Compliance: Lead the process of obtaining forest clearance, environmental clearances, and other necessary permits for the development of the mine. Liaise with various government agencies, including the Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Environment and Forests, and local regulatory bodies, to ensure all legal and environmental requirements are met. Oversee the compliance of the mining operations with national and state regulations. Liaison & Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local administration, and community leaders. Collaborate with the Coal Ministry, CMPDI (Central Mine Planning and Design Institute), and other regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance. Manage land acquisition processes in consultation with legal and local authorities. Geological Survey & Resource Estimation: Supervise the geological survey and exploration activities to assess coal reserves, mining feasibility, and environmental impact. Oversee the assessment and implementation of resource extraction methodologies to maximize coal recovery while minimizing environmental damage. Land Acquisition & CSR Initiatives: Lead efforts related to land acquisition for mining operations, ensuring legal compliance and fairness. Oversee the development and implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and initiatives aimed at community development and engagement. Address local community concerns and ensure positive relationships with surrounding communities. Team Leadership & Reporting: Lead, manage, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, ensuring smooth operations and achieving project milestones. Report regularly to the CEO on project progress, challenges, and opportunities. Ensure the proper financial and operational reporting and budgeting for the project. Qualifications: Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution (preferably ISM Dhanbad, NIT, or equivalent). Experience: Minimum 15-20 years of experience in coal mining, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale mining projects. Experience in greenfield coal projects and mine planning is highly preferred. Proven experience in managing regulatory approvals, forest clearances, environmental clearances, and liaising with government and local authorities.
