Role & responsibilities The Experience that We are Looking We are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in modern JavaScript technologies and test automation. Required Experience: • 3-5 years of experience in: o Node.js, Express.js, JavaScript, jQuery o Automation using Selenium for UI and API testing o Parsing and validating XML and JSON data • Strong understanding of DOM and browser behavior • Experience working with: o PowerShell scripting o COM interface calls o Python • Hands-on Experience with SVN, github, Postman, and REST APIs • Hands-on with debugging using browser dev tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins • Exposure to AI and Machine Learning in automation. • Ability to design and implement architectural workflows for automation or testing • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment. Good to have • Experience in Test Driven Development- TDD • Experience working with HP ALM/UFT • Some experience with .Net technologies and C# to work with core Development team • Experience working on other Automation tools like TestNG, Cucumber, Maven etc. • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Some of the Things that You Will be Doing • Develop functional test plans for complex systems from requirements and technical specifications and TDD process • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA engineers • Develop automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend using Selenium and JavaScript/Node.js • Debug and test code changes across multiple browsers and platforms • Work with tools like Postman, Jenkins, SVN, and browser extensions • Write and maintain automation scripts that parse and validate XML/JSON • Contribute to QA architecture decisions and participate in continuous improvement • Analyze technical specifications and apply TDD when applicable • Stay up-to-date with testing tools, trends, and emerging technologies
