Job Description

Operate
lathe or turning machines
(manual or CNC) to perform tasks such as turning, facing, threading, grooving, boring, etc.
Set up the machine with correct tools, fixtures, and raw material.
Read and interpret
engineering drawings
,
technical sketches
, and
job orders
.
Understand dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and symbols.
Use precision measuring tools such as
Vernier calipers
,
micrometers
,
dial indicators
, etc.
Inspect finished components to ensure they meet specifications
Select, install, and adjust cutting tools and tool holders.
Monitor tool wear and change tools as required.
Report faults or breakdowns to the supervisor.
Ensure components are produced
within cycle time
and
minimal wastage
.
Maintain
production records
such as job cards or log sheets.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
B.E-MECHANICAL/ECE/EEE
ITI/DIPLOMA
