Turbine Operator – Power Plant

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor steam, gas, or hydro turbines to ensure efficient power generation.
• Conduct routine inspections and performance checks of turbines and associated equipment.
• Adjust controls and settings to optimize turbine efficiency and maintain stable power output.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow levels to ensure safe and smooth operation.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in turbine operation and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of turbine performance, maintenance activities, and operational data.
• Assist in turbine startups, shutdowns, and emergency response procedures.
• Work closely with engineers, control room operators, and other plant personnel to ensure seamless plant operations.

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma, technical certification, or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of experience operating turbines in a power plant or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of turbine components, control systems, and safety protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and emergency call-outs.Bottom of Form
