Key Responsibilities: Cell Line Maintenance & Expansion: Regularly culture, passage, and expand mammalian cells (especially mesenchymal stem cells), ensuring optimal growth conditions and cell health. Cell Banking & Cryopreservation: Establish, maintain, and document cell banks. Ensure proper cryopreservation, thawing, and recovery of stem cells according to SOPs, maintaining traceability and quality. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain detailed electronic and physical lab notebooks, batch records, and quality assurance documentation, ensuring compliance with BIRAC, GMP, and organizational standards. Process Development & Optimization: Develop, test, and optimize protocols for scale-up production, including bioreactor culture, serum-free media adaptation, and automated cell processing, aiming for clinical-grade consistency. Assay Development & Data Analysis: Conduct cell health assays (viability, proliferation, differentiation potential, senescence), interpret data, and present findings to the R&D team. Training & Supervision: Support onboarding, training, and supervision of interns, technicians, and junior staff in cell culture techniques and lab safety protocols. Collaboration & Cross-functional Communication: Work closely with research, manufacturing, QA/QC, and clinical teams to align experimental goals, timelines, and deliverables. Inventory Management: Track and manage stocks of reagents, consumables, and lab equipment. Assist with ordering and vendor liaison. Qualifications & Skills: Education: M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline. Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, culture maintenance, and cryopreservation. Familiarity with GMP/GTP or quality systems in biotech manufacturing is an advantage. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Role Summary We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Lab Environmental Specialist to oversee clean room hygiene and environmental monitoring within our laboratory operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong microbiology background and 1–2 years of hands-on experience in sterile environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring contamination control, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of our lab processes. Key Responsibilities Environmental Monitoring & Sampling: Perform routine microbial sampling of air, surfaces, and personnel in clean room environments using settle plates, swabs, and active air samplers. Maintain sampling schedules and ensure timely documentation. Clean Room Compliance & Oversight: Monitor clean room parameters such as temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and particulate counts. Ensure adherence to ISO Class 5–8 standards and GMP guidelines. Contamination Control & Risk Mitigation: Identify potential sources of contamination and implement corrective actions. Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes. Sterility Assurance Support: Assist in validation of cleaning procedures, disinfectant efficacy studies, and environmental qualification protocols. Collaborate with QA to ensure sterility assurance across operations. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of environmental data, deviations, and corrective actions. Prepare trend analysis reports and contribute to audit readiness. Training & SOP Adherence: Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to gowning, entry/exit protocols, and aseptic techniques. Support training of new staff on clean room behavior and hygiene practices. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and timely resolution of environmental issues. Audit & Inspection Support: Participate in internal and external audits, providing environmental data and documentation as required. Address observations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
