About TrustBridge Rule of Law Foundation TrustBridge Rule of Law Foundation works at the intersection of law and economics with a commitment to fostering robust financial and legal systems based on the principles of the rule of law. We are currently working on issues related to financial markets regulation, energy transition, and contracts and dispute resolution, especially where the government is a party to the contract. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Economist (8–10 years) from academia or policy research with a passion for applying rigorous economic thinking to real-world challenges. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Economist located in Delhi, India. The ideal candidate will bridge data analysis with policy and institutional insights, moving beyond publication-driven research to solving pressing economic and regulatory questions. For example, we are working on a project studying how government departments or agencies litigate, the contractual clauses that come up in disputes, and the economic impact of continuous litigation, both on the government’s finances and the market in general. Such a study would require deep economic thinking and core quantitative skills to be able to measure the existing system and its consequences. Key Responsibilities Engage with policymakers and industry experts to i) understand the key problems affecting state capacity and markets, and ii) translate research into actionable insights. Conceptualise and develop the research strategy to unpack the problems seen in society, understand the causes, and/or their consequences. Conduct quantitative analysis, interpret complex datasets, and derive meaningful policy inferences. Relate quantitative findings to broader policy and institutional frameworks. Supervise junior colleagues in ongoing and future research projects, and guide their work. Qualifications & Experience PhD/Master's/MBA with equivalent experience in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related field. Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in academia, policy consulting, or a think tank environment. Strong background in quantitative research, econometrics, and data analysis. Ability to independently structure research projects, from conceptualisation to execution. Strong ability to translate data-driven insights into relevant policy recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A passion for research that informs real-world policy and institutional reform. Why Join Us Collaborate with experts in law, economics, and regulation. Opportunity to shape debates on financial markets, energy policy, and institutional frameworks. A dynamic, intellectually stimulating environment focused on problem-solving, not just publication. If you are a driven economist passionate about addressing critical economic and regulatory challenges, we invite you to apply. How to Apply: Please submit your CV, a cover letter about your relevant experience and research interests, and a writing sample to info@trustbridge.in.
