Experience in designing and developing Bi-injection multi-cavitation tooling/2-shot molding. Strong knowledge of Tooling Design and Development, high cavitation, and Pilot tooling. Reviewing the tooling feasibility for plastic products during the product design and development stage. Candidate must have strong experience in Tooling Vendor development. Tooling estimation- Cost and Lead time. IMM feasibility with respect to the Part and tooling specification. Develop and review the DFM, Mold flow analysis, and Tool designs. Interaction with Hot runner suppliers to ensure the correct HR system selection. Technical interface with tooling, hot runner suppliers, and internal team for design and manufacture of a mold (Modify as necessary to meet DFM/part requirements.) Regular follow-up with the supplier to ensure the project is on track. Traveling to the suppliers place on a regular basis to check and ensure the real status. Attending the T-1 to conduct the tool validation thru the scientific moulding process. Support the internal quality team by providing the parts and reports for inspection and testing. This role required close collaboration with the QA Lab for proactive dimensional checks and testing. Attending MQR (Mold Qualification Run) at the suppliers place to check the tool runnability and process capability. Tooling sign-off internal customer after the successful MQR. Arranging the tool shipment according to the Trimas process to the specified plant. Conducting the SAT along with the Plant and Supplier team. Project sign-off with Plant and handover. Qualifications Experience with direct feed tools (Fully hot), Thin wall, high precision medical, and packaging tooling. Qualifications: B.Tech/Post-Diploma/CEPT: Tool Design, Mechanical/Design Engineering (or Equivalent) 10+ years of hands-on experience in Tool making, Tool designing, Manufacturing, Processing, and Mold Management. Proficient and/or adaptable to the latest parametric design software, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
