Job Title: Test Automation Architect – Java Selenium Experience Required: 8 to 12 Years Location: Pune Employment Type: Contract 6 month full-Time (Extendable) Industry: IT Services / BFSI (preferred) Job Description We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Architect with strong hands-on skills in Java and Selenium , who can lead and drive automation strategy and execution across projects. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in building automation frameworks from scratch and integrating them with modern CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD) . Create and maintain test plans , manage test progress reporting , and provide release readiness assessments. Perform functional testing to evaluate accuracy, suitability, functionality, interoperability, and accessibility. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Maven . Automate RESTful API testing using Rest Assured or similar frameworks. Conduct SQL-based testing on relational databases to validate business logic and data consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective defect management. Comply with defined test strategy , standards, templates, and best practices. Lead efforts on defect triage , reporting , and closure . Support performance testing where needed and participate in Agile ceremonies. Provide technical leadership , mentorship, and best practices guidance to automation team members. Required Skills: 8–12 years of experience in Software Testing , with a strong focus on test automation . Expertise in Java programming and Selenium WebDriver . Hands-on with TestNG , Cucumber (BDD) , Page Object Model (POM) design pattern. Strong experience in SQL and relational database testing . Good knowledge of CI/CD tools: GitLab , Maven , Jenkins . Experience with Autosys Jobs is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams . Excellent communication skills for client interaction and reporting. Prior exposure to Banking or Trade Lifecycle domain will be an added advantage. Nice to Have: Exposure to Performance Testing Tools . Experience in working with cloud-based test environments . ISTQB or any relevant certification in software testing.
