Training & Placement Officer

Roles and responsibilities of TPO:

• Planning and implementation of the placement process in advance for the year with Principal/Vice Prinipals & HODs in various programs. This involves the type of companies, job profiles, slotting of companies, mapping of syllabus with job profiles and recommendation of students to the companies.
• Guiding the students in connection with the training they are required to undergo, internships and placements being offered etc.
• Meeting with HR of various companies in connection with training, projects, internships/ placements for the students.
• Invite various companies to the campus for the placements, internships, seminars (on advance topics), workshops and projects.
• Prepare the students for internship and placements in terms of conducting their aptitude test, technical test, GD and interviews etc.
• Assess the requirement of industrial training for the faculty members and arranging the same.
• Find ways and means to improve Industry–Institute Interactions/collaborations in terms bringing more companies with high salary packages.
• Help the institute/departments in organizing conferences, hackathon, codethon, etc. in terms of sponsorship, arranging speakers and judges etc.
• Helping various departments in organizing industry visits for staffs and students.
• Coordinating the assessment of students’ internship programs.
• Act as a bridge between students, alumni and employers.
