You are being offered an exciting opportunity to join WSP's Transportation Electrical Department in Bengaluru as an Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will report to the department manager and collaborate with project managers on various Transportation projects. Your primary responsibilities will include designing lighting, traffic signal, and power systems for these projects. Your day-to-day tasks will involve working closely with project managers and engineers to create preliminary and detailed drawings, designs, and plans. You will also be responsible for reviewing designs, drawings, calculations, and conducting computer lighting analysis. Additionally, you will perform calculations, assessments, and inspections, as well as prepare reports, project documentation, and presentation materials. Flexibility is key as you may be assigned other duties by the department manager as needed. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering. It is desirable to have an interest in pursuing Professional Engineer certification from Canada. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and illumination design software like AGi32 will be advantageous. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Consulting Engineering, including site investigations, contract drawings preparation, and contractor work inspection, is required. Knowledge of Illumination and Traffic Signals design is a plus. Strong technical, analytical writing, and presentation skills are essential for success in this position. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, will be valuable.
