Tool Room Manager

As a Tool Room Manager at GR Industries, you will be responsible for leading tool room operations for mobile cover plastic manufacturing. Your expertise in mould maintenance, VMC/CNC operations, and precision tooling, combined with your leadership abilities, will be crucial in managing a skilled technical team efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of injection moulds for plastic components. - Supervise daily VMC/CNC machining operations and ensure optimal productivity. - Conduct mould repair, polishing, and fitting as per production requirements. - Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs. - Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. - Ensure adherence to quality standards, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices. - Manage and train tool room technicians, fostering teamwork and efficiency. - Coordinate with the production and design teams to resolve tooling-related issues. - Maintain inventory of tools, consumables, and spare parts. Key Skills & Competencies: - Tool Design & Maintenance - VMC / CNC Machining - Mould Repair & Fitting - Diamond Polishing - Blueprint Reading & CAD Understanding - Preventive Maintenance - Team Leadership & Supervision - 5S & Lean Practices Experience & Qualifications: - Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making. - Minimum 5+ years of experience in tool room management, preferably in the plastic injection moulding industry. - Strong knowledge of mobile cover moulds will be an added advantage.
