Tool Developer - Java, Eclipse RCP

As a Tool Developer at Schaeffler, you will be responsible for developing, testing, piloting, and launching the Engineering Environment, Platforms, and Tools for Powertrain Engine Systems. Your role includes providing timely support to the Engineering Community on tooling and Platform Issues, participating in periodic Users Meetings, and contributing to updates and improvements of tools. Your focus will be on ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity. - Work on assigned Work Packages and Sub Tasks, including Development, Testing, Piloting, and Rollout of tools and modules. - Conduct peer reviews within the team and across teams in similar technologies. - Manage Configuration Management of the Deliverables. - Address user issues, analyze causes, provide solutions, derive and implement corrective actions, and ensure timely support and responses to the Engineering Community. - Improve and innovate tools in your assigned area. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science Engineering, E&C, or a related discipline. - 3 to 6 years of experience in Java, Eclipse plugin development/RCP, ARTOP, Maven, and GIT. - Knowledge of development processes and methods, preferably in Automotive Software. - Exposure to CI/CT tools like Git, JIRA, AWS, and Jenkins would be an added advantage.
