TNP India's Business Excellence team in Kochi is seeking a Manager –Data Projects to join our growing transformation practice. In this role, you will operate as an experienced Data Strategy Consultant, bridging business and technology to help clients use data strategically within their transformation programs. You will advise clients on Target Operating Models, governance frameworks, and delivery strategies, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution while leading teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes. The role also involves supporting pre-sales efforts, building frameworks, and participating in client solutioning . The role is based primarily out of Kochi with occasional travel and requires extensive collaboration with business and technology team. Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Delivery *Define data strategies and roadmaps aligned with client business objectives. *Design and advise on Target Operating Models and governance frameworks. *Guide delivery teams to ensure technical solutions effectively address business needs. *Prepare executive-level presentations translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations. Pre-Sales & Solutioning *Build reusable consulting frameworks and accelerators for proposals and RFPs. *Participate in pre-sales workshops and client presentations, providing data strategy perspectives. *Advise clients on the functional and business implications of modern data engineering principles, including data lakes, delta lakes, Lakehouse architectures, and data warehousing strategies, ensuring alignment with business use cases. *Work with sales teams to convert opportunities into actionable engagements. Team Leadership & Collaboration *Guide and mentor technical consultants, ensuring alignment with client strategies. *Foster collaboration between domain consultants and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions. *Provide strategic consulting services, offering expert guidance on technology selection Primary Required Skills *Strong understanding of how data impacts business strategy and operations. *Experience designing Target Operating Models and governance frameworks. *Solid knowledge of data engineering principles (data lakes, delta lakes, Lakehouse architectures, and data warehousing) from a functional and business value perspective, enabling you to advise clients on practical application and fit for purpose. *Experience working in projects involving data warehousing, business intelligence, data science, or other data-related projects *Knowledge of data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc) to guide teams on effective KPI reporting. *Ability to review advanced SQL and data queries for quality oversight. *Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their applications in digital transformation. *Strong client-facing skills, with a passion for building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional value. *Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello ). *Strong understanding on emerging business and technology trends. Must have broad understanding of industry verticals (Manufacturing, Logistics etc.) and technology areas. What We Are Not Looking For *Purely technical roles focused only on dashboard development, pipeline building, or modelling without business context. *Candidates seeking back-end engineering or isolated data science roles without client-facing exposure. *Profiles interested solely in technical delivery without engaging in strategy, governance, and business alignment. Education and Experience *Bachelor's and Master’s degree (MBA/PGDM) in Data Science, Business Analytics, Management, or a related field. * 5+ years in data consulting, analytics, or transformation roles, with client-facing responsibilities. *Demonstrated ability to convert business challenges into actionable, data-driven initiatives. Additional Preferred Qualifications * Exposure to programming (Python, R) for reviewing advanced analytics outcomes. * Experience within transformation programs in a management consulting environment.
