TNIFMC manages focused AIFs in key sectors of the economy. TNIFMC is looking to recruit an Investment Analyst / Associate for supporting investment activities for the funds under management. The position will be based out of Chennai Roles & Responsibilities 1. Develop a pipeline of potential investments through industry and market research. 2. Perform in-depth due diligence, market research on potential investment opportunities. 3. Build detailed and robust financial model. 4. Draft investment memorandums. 5. Assist in deal structuring and negotiations. 6. Monitoring the portfolio companies and maintaining relations with investee companies 7. Ensure compliance with all necessary rules and regulations. Desired Profile 1. MBA from a top B School or Chartered Accountant 2. 3 -8 years’ experience in financial modelling and investment analysis. 3. Strong research and analytical skills. 4. Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, deal with frequent and unexpected changes, and work within tight timeframe. 5. Presentation skills with ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues and recommend solutions. 6. Basic communication skills in Tamil is desirable. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Work as a member of TNSF’s ESG team to undertake due diligence of all investment proposals as per TNSF’s ESGMS. 2. Develop and maintain stakeholder consultation and engagement 3. Lead Environmental and Social Impact evaluation of TNSF’s investments. 4. Contribute to Impact Monitoring of TNSF’s investments. 5. Evaluation of investment proposal projects on ESG framework 6. Preparation of ESG related sections of the investment notes 7. ESG reporting to relevant stakeholders. 8. Coordination with investors on ESG related issues including handling the due diligence process. 9. ESG area knowledge sharing training of other team members within the organization as well training of relevant staff of investing company’s projects. Desired Profile 1. MBA from a top B School or equivalent in Social Studies, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or a related quantitative field. 2. 3 -5 years’ direct experience in ESG analysis, research, or sustainable investment. 3. Must demonstrate expert knowledge and practical experience covering all three domains: Environment (e.g., climate, resources), Social (e.g., labor, human capital), and Governance (e.g., board structure, ethics). 4. Proven track record and deep familiarity with leading global sustainability reporting standards, including GRI, SASB, and TCFD. 5. Demonstrated experience working with and applying various Impact Assessment Frameworks 6. Strong research and analytical skills. 7. Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software) 8. Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, deal with frequent and unexpected changes, and work within tight timeframe. 9.
