Job Description

The ServiceNow Administrator will report directly to the Product Owner for ServiceNow. You will mentor other ServiceNow Administrators to help them master the platform and provide continuous service improvements. You must have a strong understanding of modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and CMDB. Your responsibilities will include creating workflows, configuring forms, managing user roles, enhancing scripting abilities, and utilizing JavaScript to write efficient client-side scripts, business rules, and server-side scripts using Glide API. The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience guiding individuals to understand, manage, and support the ServiceNow platform. You must be able to communicate technical concepts and workflows clearly to end users, troubleshoot platform-specific issues, and have a solid grasp of database concepts like tables, relationships, queries, and reporting. Collaboration with other teams such as IT, Dev, and HR is essential. Additionally, you should be familiar with scoped vs global applications, standard ServiceNow release processes, and promoting code via update sets or from Github to QC/UAT/Production. Adhering to processes for scheduled ServiceNow upgrades and security patches, understanding platform components, and following Consilio JIRA workflow processes are key aspects of this role. As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will be responsible for developing ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Web Service, HTML, and CSS. Working with Service Asset & Configuration Management teams, you will deliver expanded Discovery functionality and manage CMDB health to support Assets and Configuration. You will also configure notifications, UI pages, UI macros, scripts, and more within the ServiceNow platform. The right candidate for this position will be an energetic self-starter with a passion for being a ServiceNow expert. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 4+ years of IT experience in application operations in a large-scale complex environment is required.
