Title Infrastructure Ops Engineer

As an Infrastructure Ops Engineer I at NCR VOYIX, you will be responsible for providing operational support for servers in on-prem Windows, Unix, VMware, and Azure Cloud environments. Your role will involve handling day-to-day break/fix activities and deploying new installations and solutions. Your excellent teaming and communication skills are essential as you collaborate with a global organization and individuals with varying levels of technical expertise. Operating in a 24x7x365 support organization, you will monitor alerts and incidents, adhere to major incident processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with vendors when necessary. Key areas of responsibility also include providing system support for Windows Operating Systems and VMware across approximately 3000 servers globally, meeting Service Level Agreements, diagnosing hardware problems, and planning new server installations. You will also be required to monitor and analyze system performance, present technical information to diverse audiences, and contribute to procedural documentation. Basic requirements for this role include a preference for Windows MCSE certification, experience in supporting Windows in a large corporate environment, familiarity with monitoring tools like AppDynamics and ServiceNow, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large virtual environment. You should be a quick learner, a team player, an effective communicator, and possess analytical skills to identify and implement solutions effectively. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Dell and Cisco hardware, experience with NetBackup and VMware Aria Operations, strong analytical skills, creativity in problem-solving, and proficiency in methodologies to improve work effectiveness. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
