About the Role We are seeking a Machine Safety Expert responsible for assessing industrial machinery and production lines to ensure compliance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC , ISO 12100:2010 , and other harmonized European standards. The role focuses on ensuring that all equipment functions safely, efficiently, and in accordance with international safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct machine safety audits , risk assessments , and CE marking conformity evaluations for industrial machines and production lines. Inspect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify potential hazards or non-compliances. Assess and test machine safety control systems to verify compliance with functional safety requirements. Review or create safety documentation (technical files, user manuals, risk assessment reports) in line with EU directives and ISO standards. Establish the risk level (Low / Medium / High) for identified hazards and propose control measures for mitigation. Define corrective action plans to ensure machinery complies with safety directives and company standards. Support customers in resolving safety-related queries and achieving CE/UL certification for machinery. Required Skills & Expertise 58 years experience in industrial machine safety , risk assessment , or functional safety engineering . Strong knowledge of: EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC ISO 12100:2010 Safety of Machinery ISO 60204-1 – Electrical Equipment of Machines Experience with machine safeguarding , risk mitigation , and functional safety validation . Understanding of CE marking and UL certification processes. Familiarity with safety functions such as Emergency Stops, Light Curtains, Safety Relays , etc.
