Role Description This is a hybrid role for copyeditors at Tholga, located in Chennai, with occasional requirements to visit the office. The copyeditor will be responsible for ensuring that the manuscript they edit clearly communicates the research by ensuring the accuracy of grammar, punctuation, and spelling in various types of documents. Daily tasks include text editing, proofreading, and providing editorial support to ensure high-quality writing standards. The Copyeditor will collaborate with various teams to refine content and maintain consistency in all written materials. Qualifications Strong grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills Proficiency in text editing and editorial tasks as well as in MS Word. Excellent writing skills Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams A master's or higher degree in any subject Two to four years of experience in copyediting or editorial roles Familiarity with at least one of the style manuals The hiring process Initial online screening followed by an editing test and interview. Salary INR 2.0-2.5 lakh per annum. This range is indicative and minimum; candidates who perform better in the editing test and interview may be considered for a higher salary.
