Job Title: Senior Scientist Energy Systems & Materials Location: Hyderabad Experience: 10+ Years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role A highly skilled scientist is sought to join a pioneering research and development team in Hyderabad, operating at the intersection of materials science and power electronics. This position drives innovation in energy harvesting, storage, and generationespecially through experimental development of advanced solutions for transforming fusion output into efficient electricity. The role is ideal for a leader eager to shape the next generation of energy systems through interdisciplinary research and a strong command of both materials and electromagnetic theory. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced energy conversion prototypes, such as: Electronic systems for efficient energy management Next-generation material-integrated devices Thermoelectric generators (TEGs) Electrochemical and fuel cells • Oversee material selection, device fabrication, and high-precision system assessments. • Direct simulation and modeling efforts using platforms like COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB to study electromagnetic and energy conversion phenomena. • Guide cross-functional teams spanning materials science, electrical engineering, and related disciplines to deliver integrated energy solutions. • Evaluate experimental and simulation data, analyze efficiency and bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for maximizing electricity generation from fusion output. • Prepare research reports, patent documentation, and publications to advance organizational and scientific objectives. • Monitor global advancements in materials, electronics, and energy conversion to inform ongoing R&D initiatives. Required Qualifications • PhD in Materials Science with a strong background in Electronics or Power Electronics. • Minimum 10 years of research and experimental experience in energy systems, electronic materials, or electromagnetic applications. • Expertise in electromagnetic theory and advanced materials for high-efficiency energy applications. • Proficient with device fabrication, thin film deposition, and semiconductor methods. • Demonstrated command of leading simulation tools (COMSOL, Ansys, MATLAB) and data analysis software (Python, Excel, Origin). • Track record executing independent R&D projects and leading multidisciplinary teams. • Experience working with nano-structured, composite, or innovative high performance materials. • Recognized scientific publications and/or patents in the field of advanced energy technologies. Additional Preferred Qualifications • MSc or BSc in Physics, Energy Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields. • Deep understanding of energy conversion principles, thermodynamics, and strategies for improved system efficiency. • Direct experience with high-impact cleanroom protocols and advanced instrumentation. • Active engagement with industry standards and current technological trends.
