Position: Education Counselor Department: Admissions / Student Guidance Location: [Add Location] Employment Type: Full-time About the Role The Education Counselor will be responsible for guiding students through their academic and career choices, helping them select suitable courses, universities, and countries based on their goals. The role involves counseling, documentation assistance, lead management, and ensuring a smooth admission process. --- Key Responsibilities Provide professional counseling to students regarding study options, universities, courses, and career pathways. Handle inquiries via walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, and emails promptly and professionally. Guide students on admission requirements, documentation, application processes, and visa procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of courses, university tie-ups, and education systems across countries. Follow up with leads, maintain proper records, and ensure timely conversions. Assist students in shortlisting universities based on their academic background and financial capacity. Maintain confidentiality of student information and company policies. Counsel students and parents with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Provide accurate information to avoid any miscommunication or false commitments. Coordinate with university representatives and internal teams for updates. Meet monthly targets set by the management. Participate in seminars, workshops, job melas, and other promotional activities. --- Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any field (Education/Management background preferred). Proven experience in student counseling or in the overseas education industry is an advantage. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to handle pressure and meet targets. Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools. Excellent interpersonal skills and a student-centric approach. Fluency in English; additional regional languages are an advantage. --- Key Attributes Professional, polite, and confident behavior. Strong convincing skills.
