Job Description for Role of Community Manager About the Organisation The Sarvodya Collective is a non-profit organisation working to build informed, enabling and inclusive communities around every person with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs). Inclusive Duniya is our flagship initiative to build awareness about neurodiversity and cultivate allyship for the cause. Under this campaign we: Design and facilitate conversations for various demographics (students, teachers, youth) to raise awareness about neurodiverse realities to cultivate allyship for a more inclusive society Create and curate content as knowledge resources to bolster neurodiverse ecosystems Build capacity and solutions to foster inclusive communities based on the social model of disability Our work is anchored in two key programmes that together advance our vision. Awareness and Allyship Programme engaging the wider community to deepen understanding of neurodiversity and foster meaningful allyship through dialogue, campaigns, and community initiatives. Schools Programme engaging educators and students to create inclusive learning environments within the school ecosystem; focuses on capacity-building, content and curriculum creation, and youth development. About the role We are looking for a Community Manager to join our passionate and purpose-driven team. This is a multi-dimensional role at the intersection of education, inclusion, and community building - ideal for someone who thrives on variety and meaning in their work. The Community Manager will work across our two programmes, helping us grow partnerships, engage volunteers, execute campaigns, and tell powerful stories that move people to action. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing movement to shape how our society understands and includes persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities, but are not limited to, the following: Business development & outreach Lead and support outreach efforts to onboard new partners, including schools and other education-related organisations, for Schools Programme Build and nurture relationships with other organisations within the disability and inclusion ecosystem, and beyond to expand community and reach Engage with corporates and volunteering networks to deliver meaningful employee engagement opportunities and allyship journeys that connect people with the cause Community engagement Plan and execute community-building events and activities for the Awareness & Allyship programme in collaboration with external partners Manage logistics, communication, and coordination for events - including venue arrangements, materials, participant communication, and vendor management Support volunteer-led initiatives and help nurture a community of engaged allies who continue to grow with the movement Fellowship Management (Implementation & People Support) Support end-to-end management of the InclusiveDuniya Fellowship — recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and deployment Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and partners for smooth placements Provide ongoing training, coaching, and reflective spaces for Fellows Conduct performance reviews, wellbeing check-ins, and maintain documentation Troubleshoot on-ground challenges and offer real-time implementation support Oversee fellowship administration, including contracts, stipends, attendance, leave, and reporting Digital communication & storytelling Support content creation for social media and digital platforms, sharing stories that highlight impact and experiences Qualifications and skills Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree Have 1–3 years of relevant experience in education, social impact, communications, or community engagement Strong interpersonal and communication skills Effective stakeholder management and multitasking abilities Bring initiative, energy, and ownership to work and the cause Location Delhi NCR based hybrid work with a requirement to come into office at agreed frequency; the office is located in Sector 17, Gurgaon.
