The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial construction, proven experience in managing large-scale projects, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management. Role & responsibilities Project Planning & Initiation Lead feasibility studies and site selection in coordination with internal teams and consultants. Define project scope, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and deliverables. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities. Project Execution & Management Oversee all phases of construction including civil, structural, MEP, and infrastructure works. Manage contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships. Monitor project schedules and budgets; ensure adherence to timelines and cost control measures. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project alignment. Risk & Quality Management Implement and monitor quality control and assurance protocols. Identify and mitigate potential risks and bottlenecks. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Team Leadership & Communication Lead cross-functional project teams, including internal departments and external consultants. Maintain clear and continuous communication with stakeholders at all levels. Provide regular progress reports, updates, and forecasts to senior management. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in factory construction. Proven track record in delivering large-scale capital projects on time and within budget. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, EPC, etc.), project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2), and construction safety regulations. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.).

Effectively manage supplier selections to meet quality, service, delivery, and cost parameters to meet the organisation requirements. Ensure just-intime delivery of material to meet customer demand. To formulate and manage the entire process of distribution from ordering to receiving and preparation to delivery. Lead inventory right sizing initiatives. Maintain systems to ensure inventory optimization and appropriate replenishment strategies. Collaborate with production and operations departments in planning activities to deliver products on time. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing and Finance and externally with all the suppliers and service providers. Reviewing and improving margins freight and duty Should have exposure to Quality Management Systems Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate is an engineering graduate with a post-graduate qualification in Operations or Supply Chain Management and 15 -20 years experience including at least 10 years at a managerial level with responsibility for managing Supply Chain & Purchase function at plant level. The candidate should be from engineering or manufacturing industries, or steel plant having managed procurement of scrap and alloys. Leadership : The candidate will need to show leadership ability to drive transformational cultural change to enable the business to deliver operational efficiency.
